Key Program Features
Day 1 – AI Tools & Practical Applications in Education
The first day is dedicated to building practical AI fluency — moving participants from awareness to confident, hands-on application. Through a carefully sequenced series of expert-led sessions and interactive workshops, educators gain direct experience with the AI tools transforming classrooms globally and develop the pedagogical understanding to deploy them effectively and responsibly.
Day 2 – Developing AI Policy Frameworks & Processes for Institutions
The second day elevates the focus from the individual classroom to the institutional level. Participants examine how to design, implement, and govern AI policy within their schools and universities — ensuring that AI adoption is strategic, equitable, and aligned with their institutions values and regulatory responsibilities. Drawing on international frameworks and global best practices, educators leave with the tools to drive systemic change.

The selection process is merit-based and designed to identify educators who demonstrate a genuine commitment to advancing AI-enabled learning within their institutions, a clear vision for how emerging technologies can enhance teaching practice and student outcomes, and the leadership potential to translate that vision into meaningful, lasting change — both in their classrooms and across their wider educational communities.

Global Education Week (GEW)
Global Education Week at UNITAR Geneva — hosted within the United Nations in Geneva — is a flagship international forum dedicated to shaping the future of education. This in-person gathering brings together three core programs: the Academic Leadership Suite (ALS), AI for Educators, and the Global Education Summit (GES), within a unified, high-level environment.
It is a comprehensive forum that integrates leadership development, practical innovation, and global policy dialogue within one cohesive setting. By combining these three programs, Global Education Week creates a unique ecosystem where academic leaders, educators, and decision-makers can engage across the institutional, technological, and policy dimensions of education.
As part of this flagship forum, AI for Educators participants have the option to access one full day of the Global Education Summit (GES), where they engage directly with Ministry of Education officials, alongside senior education policymakers and decision-makers from around the world. This access provides a rare opportunity to participate in high-level discussions, gain first-hand insight into prevailing global education priorities, and build the meaningful connections that support long-term collaboration and institutional impact.
