Three months Work Semester Program in Germany for Students
Description:
We are academic partners for a unique 3-months’ Work Semester Program in Germany for the year 2024. Selected students will get the opportunity to travel to Germany for a period of 3 months between from April – Jun 2024 to complete full-time paid work with companies in the fields of operations, manufacturing and supply chain.
Benefits:
The selected students will get unmatchable exposure and a tremendous learning experience along with a work certificate from the German company that they work with. Having three months, full time European work experience will be extremely beneficial for their careers and for their CV. The students get paid a minimum of euros 13 per hour, with an option of working additional hours at 200% wage rates. This makes it a minimum of Euros 2080 per month.
This program is overseen by the German Foreign Office and run by a placement agency in Germany in association with European Global Varsity and Ureka Education.
Areas of work:
The placement partner for this program will ensure that selected students find suitable 3-months work placement that will enable them to obtain the necessary visa to travel to Germany with a proper job contract offered directly by the companies. The students can expect to work in areas of operations, manufacturing or supply chain with different companies in any city in Germany.
Stipend:
Basic stipend: Euro 13 per hour x 40 hours per week x 12 weeks
(Earn minimum 6240 Euros during the 3 months program) Overtime: Over and above the basic rate
Application & Selection:
All interested students need to submit the following documents:
Copy of passport (validity minimum 12 months).
Copy Student ID or equivalent
Currently, be studying (undergraduate or above).
The student must still be studying after his return.
Speak English (minimum CET 4 Level).
Sign a Service Contract
Once a suitable job is found for a student, he / she needs to complete the following training:
1. Basic English Communications Certificate by Ureka UK - this is a 30-hour online course to be completed by selected candidates.
2. Employability Skills Certificate from European Global Varsity and Ureka UK - this is a 30 hours online course to be completed by the selected candidates.
Type of Visa:
We are responsible to provide documents such as the job contract which can be used to apply for the relevant visa. With this job contract the visa rejection rate is usually less than 1%. We will provide guidance for the process.
What is included in the program:
All selected students will be provided the following by their employer:
- Accommodation, for which maximum of 20 euros per day (depending upon location of work) will be deducted from the salary, nothing has to be paid upfront for accommodation.
- Health insurance of 50 euros per month to be deducted from the salary
- Travel card with free access to entire Germany can be bought for 49 euros per month.
- Reduced tax rate of 5-7% will be applicable for this category.
3-months semester break Period is Fixed: 1 April - 30 June 2024
Requirement from the University / Institution:
- For students interested in applying for this opportunity, issue a letter confirming they are current students of the institution along with their enrolment number, course of study, year of study, contact details of 1 faculty and confirmation that students will return to the home country on completion of their 3-months semester break.
- Publish on the institution’s website that 1 April - 30 June 2024 is a semester break as the German authorities will verify the same.
- Additional paperwork will be required from the Chinese institution, however, we will facilitate and guide through the entire process.
Fee :
*Currency difference and forex charges if any to be borne by the students.
*25% early bird discount until 30th September.
The students have to bear the cost of air tickets, visa and meals in Germany, in addition to any other personal expenses.
